Cold Wisconsin nights

No pictures this time, but  in your mind, please picture 2 people, (young senior citizen type) huddled together under the quilt in a small travel trailer, with only their noses sticking out of the covers.  One small dog is under the same covers, providing warmth to my back.  (Thank you Button.)   The problem?  No electricity from shore power at the campground.  Reason, unknown.  All worked fine at home, campground insists all is fine on their end and the problem is in the trailer, and they are right.  The problem is in the trailer, with a high of 40 degrees today, it is cold in there.  We have some heat from our little cube heater, but can't run it for long without the  trailer battery getting low, which means going out, plugging the trailer into the car and letting the car run for 20 minutes.  For some reason the battery isn't holding a charge for long.
Getting the trailer ready to go was a new experience as well, all was fine until we filled the fresh water tank, and turned on the water pump, we ended up with enough water by the door to float the dogs dish.  After much mopping, we got it taken care of, and are doing water bottle camping on this trip.  We think the water pump wasn't  winterized properly and cracked.  Another thing to deal with when we get home, along with the electrical problem.
We took the trike in this morning, got a call a few minutes ago that they don't have the right wheel bearings for it, although the service was set up and parts ordered months ago, apparently our bearings are a new type used, so they have to over nighted to the Hostel Shop that is doing our trike.  They will be here tomorrow at noon.
Winds were very strong on the trip from MI to WI, causing our car to suck gas through a straw, but we got here safely and were glad to be off the road.
On the plus side, yes, I will usually find one, we took the dog for a walk today along the Plover river today  Of course I forgot my camera, but will try and bring it tomorrow when we go for our test ride on the trike.  Not a strong wi fi signal at the campground , so we are at a Starbucks, warming up and charging the computer.  Funky music here too.  Tony is enjoying that immensely.  Many comments from him  as I am writing this.
So off we got to make supper, (that will help warm the trailer up) and read a bit before snugging under the covers.  Man I wish I would have brought a night cap..the kind that goes on a cold head, not the kind that is a drink. Till next time....
