Great family time

This whole trip started out as a 3 day trip to SD for a wedding, but one thing led to another, and before we knew it, we had rearranged our schedule and were off.  First stop, Canton SD..wedding central for Justin and Santagia.  In posting these pictures, I realized I don't have a picture of Justin and Santagia together.  Take my word for it, she was a beautiful bride.

We had a nice visit with Dad and the rest of the family in ND.

Had a wonderful meal the evening we arrived, prepared by my sisters.  It was the first time the 4 sisters in my family have ever been together at the same time.  Dad will be 87 this month.  I was so happy to have a picture of all of us together.

From ND we went onto Hawley MN, where we got to see family we hadn't seen for years, and some that we had only met on Facebook.
Had the honor of spending 2 nights at  cousin Ronnie and Bev's house, who graciously  arranged and hosted the reunion.

Most pictured  are my second cousins and spouses, but there was a third cousin there, and his daughter as well, so I even got to meet a 4th cousin.

My sister from Mo was there, I don't mind bragging on her a bit..she is a great singer and musician, and as always we are happy to enjoy the fruits of her  musical labor.  She was accompanied by cousin Ronnie. on the harmonica, Bev on the dobro, and Paul on the fiddle.  We had ourselves a jamboree.

She along with the other musicians in the family kept us entertained.  We even had a family sing along.

Although our trike was on the trailer, it only came off so folks could have a look see, then went back on to be tarped for the trip back home.  No time to ride when we had so many wonderful folks to visit with.

Of course we had to get some pictures of all of us together.

Before we knew it, Saturday morning had arrived and along with a yummy lunch packed for us by Bev, we were homeward bound for MI.  Before we left I warned the relatives that we would be back..we are like gum on their shoe,  now..they won't get rid of us very easily. It was a wonderful visit and the story of how a 3 day trip for a wedding turned into a great 12 day, 2600 mile trip, a family connection trip.
